He is Founding Member and Member of the Executive Board of the European Decision Sciences Institute, Vice President for the European Division (for 2010-2014) of the Decision Sciences Institute where he is also Member of the Development Committee for Excellence in the Decision Sciences and Chairs the Member Services Committee (2011-2012). He is Founding Member and past Associate Director of the Global Manufacturing Research Group. He served on the Executive Committee of the International Society for Inventory Research (1998 and 2006); currently, he is Member of the Auditing Committee.
